NCAA National Championships

Catholic University of America is hosting this year’s 1st and 2nd rounds of the NCAA’s 2013 Basketball Championship this weekend.  CUA is No. 9/10 and boasts a 26-1 overall and a perfect 14-0 inside the DuFour Center. The Cardinals won their second straight Landmark Conference title on February 23, behind a career-high 22 points from junior Emily Grabiak according to CUA’s Official Athletic Website.

Dr. R. Kevin O’Brien was one of the first to hear of Liz’s acceptance into CUA. Last year, he first met the Bolchoz family through Rey Alvarez, M.D., Family Physician who referred Liz when injured while playing basketball. Dr. O’Brien has treated other top local athletes returning them back to full recovery to play their game such as Ariana Jackson, Lady Pirate for East Carolina University, Brooke Bray who after being treated for an ankle injury went on to prequalify for the Junior Olympics.

Like many athletes who sustain an injury while playing, the recovery time can be uncertain. That’s why it’s important to have care under someone knowledgeable in sports medicine. Dr. O’Brien obtained his B.S. in Sports Medicine degree from the University of Florida one of the top sports medicine schools in the country. He has been treating sports injuries since 1998 when he started his practice.

We want to congratulate Liz Bolchoz on her achievement. SHP Rehab & Wellness Center, Inc is thankful to have been a leader in her complete recovery.  The Bolchoz family personally called to thank Dr. R. Kevin O’Brien and his team for treating and to share Liz’s good news.

“That’s what it’s all about. Helping our community,” said Dr. O’Brien, who is also a Forida native from Palm Beach Gardens.

SHP Rehab & Wellness Center, Inc.  wants to thank the Bolchoz family for selecting us for their wellness needs. Again, this is one more good reminder on how relationships are core to all we do.
