Raisins and Bananas – Heart Healthy Choices

Bananas are an excellent source of potassium. Did you know that products that use bananas can help prevent muscle cramps? After a therapeutic treatment, it’s important to drink water, but don’t forget to also be sure to include potassium in your diet.

Why raisins? Raisins are an excellent source of iron. Iron helps your body to support red blood cell development. Red blood cells carry oxygen to your vital organs. Your muscles will beg for oxygen after therapy. Support them by eating some raisins!

Sometimes you just want a snack that’s not so “healthy.” Stick to products that are calorie managed and help you to not over indulge. Products that are under 120 calories and 15 grams of carbs are a healthier choice when compared to a candy bar.
